Copper wire mesh

Copper mesh is a mesh dutcherial made of copper wire or copper plate through a specific process. It is widely used in many fields because of its good electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity and corrosion resistance.

1. Classification and dutcherial

Copper mesh can be divided into brass mesh, copper mesh and bronze mesh (also known as phosphor copper mesh or tin bronze mesh) according to the dutcherial:

Brass mesh: made of copper and zinc alloy, the mesh number is generally 1~200 mesh. Brass mesh has good corrosion resistance and wear resistance, and is often used in industrial filtration, petroleum, chemical, printing and decoration industries.

Copper mesh: made of pure copper, the mesh number is generally 1~400 mesh. Copper mesh has the characteristics of non-magnetic conductivity, strong signal shielding, wear resistance, good sound insulation and corrosion resistance. Bronze mesh: made of copper and tin alloy, it has the characteristics of non-magnetic conductivity, wear resistance, acid and alkali resistance and good ductility. Bronze mesh is also commonly used to screen various particles, powders and filter liquids and gases.

2. Production process and specifications

The production process of copper mesh mainly includes copper wire weaving, copper plate stretching, copper plate punching and copper wire gas-liquid filtration. Copper mesh produced by different processes have different specifications and characteristics:

Copper wire woven mesh: made of copper wire by cross-weft and warp, the mesh is square or rectangular, the mesh range is 0.5 mesh to 300 mesh, and the mesh width can reach 2000mm.

Copper plate stretching mesh: made of copper plate by mechanical stamping and stretching, the mesh shape is various, such as diamond, triangle, approxidutche hexagon, etc. The mesh size and mesh thickness can be customized according to demand, and the mesh width generally does not exceed 1000mm.

Copper plate punching mesh: made of copper plate by mechanical stamping, chemical etching or laser punching, the mesh shapes include round, square, trapezoidal, rectangular, straight, triangle, hexagonal and elliptical, etc. The mesh diameter/side length range is 0.3mm to 50mm, the mesh thickness can reach 8mm, and the mesh width generally does not exceed 1000mm.

Copper wire gas-liquid filter: It is woven by copper wire using a hook-weaving process, and the mesh is approxidutchely in the shape of "Ω", mainly used for gas or liquid filtration.

3. Application fields

Copper mesh is widely used in the following fields due to its unique properties:

Electronic field: Copper mesh plays an important role in electronic products, such as used to make communication antennas, shielding dutcherials, electromagnetic wave absorption dutcherials, conductive lines of electronic printed circuit boards (PCBs), conductive layers of touch screens, and electrode dutcherials of thin-film batteries.

Filtration field: Copper mesh can be used to make various forms of filter mesh, such as air filter mesh, liquid filter mesh and dust filter mesh, etc., and is widely used in environmental protection, food safety, water treatment and pharmaceutical production.

Industrial field: Copper mesh is often used in the manufacture of mechanical equipment such as catalyst carriers, heating nets, dust collectors, explosion-proof nets and mesh belts in industry, and has the advantages of high temperature oxidation resistance, high strength and long life.

Decoration field: Copper mesh can not only be used to make various decorative nets, such as ceiling nets, wall nets and railing nets, but also can be surface treated through copper immersion, spraying and other processes to make it have a variety of colors and textures.
